We went to see Eragon today, and I started to think about this crazy idea...What is the difference between "Dragon Rider" and "Fighter Pilot"? Movie shots of the Eragon riding the dragon looked exactly like "F18 Ride" on YouTube. I am still not sure about how many G's can the dragon make, but I can assure you Eragon was not wearing the G Suit... but we spotted him wearing jeans in first couple of scenes (he-he).
Dragon can breath the fire and plane can fire people with rockets, Dragon can throw things and plane can drop bombs. In Eragon dragon even had shields and our planes have some sort of armor.
In Eragon rider had a vision of the dragon and could literally zoom in on objects and see them in infra-red... well pilots can always use "plane vision", I am taken it for granted that zoom and infra red is provided on some models. Some pilots -planes can even use BVR Rockets (Beyond visible range), I guess Dragons do not have anything to compete there.
Another similiarity:
rider can live if the dragon dies and dragon will die if the dragon rider dies. If plane is hit, pilot can always Eject and has Chances to live. If pilot is hit, plane does not have any chances...So you may say: "How is it related to games"... well my idea was to make a dress up game with dragon parts and some Air Force ornaments. I wonder how would people like to create dragon and attach some "Magic" missles to the wings :)??? Wonder who would love the idea more guys or girls....
